Job Overview
This role is responsible for the management and development of LNG shipping operations, ensuring the optimization of shipping schedules, chartering operations, and providing valuable shipping intelligence to the LNG Trading team. The position will also involve contract negotiations, real-time market analysis, and data reporting to support strategic decision-making within the LNG department.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop LNG shipping capability in collaboration with the team, ensuring seamless operational execution and growth in the sector.
  • Oversee the global chartering of LNG vessels, managing both spot and term chartering operations to optimize fleet deployment.
  • Provide the LNG Trading desk with real-time shipping information, including but not limited to vessel availability, charter rates, port costs, bunkering prices, and LNG shipping economics, to support market decisions.
  • Lead and manage negotiations for Time Charter Party (TCP) agreements, ensuring the best terms and cost-effectiveness for the company.
  • Collaborate with LNG schedulers and the optimization team to develop efficient and cost-effective shipping schedules, minimizing operational costs and maximizing fleet utilization.
  • Maintain and update shipping data, reports, and statistics, and provide market analysis to support LNG team and management with strategic decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth LNG shipping operations, adapting to evolving market and business needs.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in LNG shipping, maritime operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of LNG market dynamics, shipping operations, and chartering practices.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and chartering operations.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, shipping data, and optimize operational efficiency.
